South Street Diner - Boston

The service was great. The burger was alright, and the French fries were tasty. Good portions for the price.

Overall a very pleasant experience. The diner atmosphere was very charming our waitress was very polite and attentive. Love the blue and white design of the place. Prices are a bit high for breakfast, but decent for the area. Chocolate milk was amazing! And the coffee was great. Only disappointed with the sausage on the breakfast sandwich as it was a very small link cut in half, was expecting a full size patty it also appeared to be like a chicken sausage or something. Other than that a great experience.

It is very crowded, which means the food is good . Great prices, too. It is worth the wait

First time diner. I purchased the Cuban Sandwich and a bottled Pepsi, and sat in one of numerous booths while my food was prepared. The place was constantly busy preparing pick up orders brisk business for them, even at 2 PM. In a few minutes my order was ready and I walked to work. Fridge kept it fresh, and three hours later I enjoyed the first half in the break room. Delicious. This version had not only some of the tastiest pork I've had, but included diced tomatoes, sliced pickles, lettuce, and perhaps chicharones as well, not certain. I think the cooks were speaking [a form of Spanish I am unfamiliar with which a first I mistook for Portugese; still can't place its origin], which was distinctive, and perhaps influenced the sandwich recipe in a decidedly wonderful direction. I am not only eager to try that again, but plan to return on a regular basis they are that good!

Second time eating here... It can certainly be busy depending on the time of day. But what an affordable delicious greasy spoon double cheeseburger I had... Pro Tip, order extra toasted cuz the burger is quite JUICY... which is great. I am full, and happy.. and the waitress knew to bring napkins when I was thinking of asking. Overall a great service and delicious food. Stop in for sure.
