Reel Foods Fish Market - Boise

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet for this place. If I want a nice piece of fish, this is the place I go to. I've had sturgeon, idaho sturgeon, their black cod, caviar, all of their sushi grade fish, and more.Highly recommend this place and it would be a loss to the treasure valley if this place ever closed.Highly recommend the Ora king salmon. Great for sushi, smoking, and even pan seared or roasted.Yellowfin tuna is also recommended.If you feel adventurous go for the idaho sturgeon it's cheaper than the standard sturgeon and just as delicious and local!!!!!They have all sorts of clams and oysters. Not my thing but I'm sure they are just as good for people that love them.

I really really enjoyed my experience with them, and will definitely be adding them to my list of stores. Affordable options that are delicious, friendly staff, and a clean shop. I got their farmed Atlantic salmon and oh my goodness it brought my miso salmon to another level. The fish was lovely and fresh, they even double checked if all the bones were out as they packaged it!

Went in a week ahead of Valentine's Day to reserve sushi-grade salmon for our VDay dinner. They had it ready for me on VDay and said it had been flown in fresh the day before. The salmon was definitely fresh and was so delicious eating it raw. It was also $30 for 1.5 lbs which is way less than we would have paid going out for the same quality meal. Highly recommend!
