Juniper - Boise

First problem is that I have a high tip, as there is an option on Open Table. When we arrived, we sat at a small stand in the back of the restaurant – my view was the station of the server, toilet/output signs and bundles of additional chairs stored near the wall. After visiting the restaurant on Instagram and Open Table, this was not what I expected. I felt like I was in a diner. The atmosphere was completely missing. Our server was polite, but seemed inexperienced. I had a question about gluten in a particular dish that he said he was checking, but never. The dishes we chose were lamb and NY steak. They were good, but unusual. The worst part is that our ducks came out when we were halfway through our salads. Serving the staff seemed to care for meals. Overall it was average, the service was not great and we will not be in a hurry to return. On a good note the cocktails were unique and well prepared.

That was my first experience on a friend's recommendation. The food was delicious. Service was good. They always came by to check us out.

Excellent food (risotto), quiet upstairs seating (my request) and excellent service made for a fun night out with friends at Juniper. This was my first visit, will definitely be back!
