Have stopped here for lunches a few times. Great burgers, good sandwiches and friendly service. Serving staff make you feel very welcomed. Portions are more than adequate....burgers quite Large! Much better selection of food and beers than the Kawartha Coffee Co. Situated across from the locks, with open air dining room. Give Embers a try.....you won't be disappointed.

The staff at Embers are quite young, and customer service is not their strong suit. However, the woman who I believe is the owner was there a couple of times, and she is very good with customers. I think she should train the newer staff to be more like her, which would make the place more impressive. The wait time for food is around 10-15 minutes, which gives you time to do some window shopping around the corner. The prices are a bit high for simple items like burgers and fries - we ordered 3 burger and fries combos, which came to around $50. This is typical for cottage country, where things tend to be more expensive because they can be.

I have visited this restaurant many times over the years but this was my first visit for breakfast. It was a Saturday morning so it was very busy but the waitresses did their best to keep things going and the coffee refills were plenty. Breakfast was cooked just the way I liked it. We will definitely return. Thank you.

The food was excellent and well-priced. When the weather is pleasant, they open up the restaurant so it feels like dining on a covered patio.

I went to this restaurant for dinner on a busy Saturday. The service was just okay and the food was not great. We ordered burgers, fries, and nachos, but they were all very average - it felt like eating food from a grocery store. I would not return to this place, especially since there are many better food options nearby.
