Hunan East - Blackwood

We go here several times a month. These are the most beautiful people ever! Chicken and Brocolli are great. Myvwife loves vegetable fried rice and I love vegetables lo mine. Do not let yourself be shaken by the menu that you can create or cook. In addition, they can have what you want, but can call it something else (e.g. I know they don't call their General Tso Chicken with that name). Good is always very hot, but occasionally forget to give you utensils, so make sure you ask. However, they will provide plenty of sauce and lucky cookies. The egg rolls are also great. I highly recommend it.

You can fool. This is an old Chinese school. Good food, decent prices and some unique differences. You start with tea, which is no longer usual. Then you get some soaked cabbage and fried noodles. The rest is on what you order. I really wasn't sure about the place when we were there, but I was happy with the place. My legal father has come here for years and says the place has changed in 30 years. I could believe it. I think you'll see all this.

I've been going to Hunan East for 40 years. The first time they were in the Laurel plaza in Blackwood. Then they moved to Deptford, over 5 pts of diner.... then they moved to where they are today. Best food. We always get Grandpa chicken(gen tso) and 5 spice chicken with string beans are the bomb.

Some of the best Chinese I've ever had. The place I would have been visually outdated, so I would have given a total of 4 stars with this in mind, but the service, food and value for the money swayed me, so don't let the atmosphere fool you, this place has something delicious food, friendly service and worth a try if you are in the area.

I'm very picky, this place is old school. Love the wonton in the soup, very fresh and the best noodles as well, haven't seen this kind since Chinatown in NYC. Food is good, prices are great and the service too. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants old school Chinese dining. It's not fancy but clean .
