Really friendly staff, despite high season. Extra wishes were met immediately. You just feel comfortable and well-resolved as a “tired walker”.

Witthöfts Gasthof is a typical, low-sächsischer farm guesthouse located in the Lüneburger Heide and located in the heart of the small village of Wilsede. In the summer months, Wilsede is a true tourist magnet. The place can only be approached by cars with special permission, most visitors come on foot from Undeloh. Witthöft's inn is one of three locals in the 40 inhabitants village and belongs to a nursery. The gastronomic offer is limited to very tasty homemade cakes, ice cream, red fruit or sandwiches. Cooking hasn't been here for a few years. Also for beer friends there is no more Pils from the barrel, but only a Heidjer Pils from the bottle. The farm is about 800 years old and also has a long history of gastronomics. The post coach drivers between Hamburg and Hanover were already housed here. The young service was a student support and very friendly. The facility is very rural and has something to come in the years, which is also the charm here. In summer you can sit in the garden. Take a trip to the nature reserve Lüneburger Heide and after a long march with coffee and cake.

We have eaten very good homemade cakes today. Especially the buckwheat variety was excellent. To this very nice ambience and friendly service!
