The Merrymaid Inn - Birmingham

Visited Merrymaid for takeaway dinner on 28th July 2024. Have visited several times and also eaten in the premises. The waitress took our order and read it back. Ordered a drink whilst waiting. The man serving, one of the owners sons ,checked the glass before pouring the drink, impressed. Friendly welcome, clean premises and we even sat with the lady owner and her 2 sons and conversed well after our takeaway had arrived. We enjoyed the meal, amazing delicious as always. I would say one of the best in Birmingham. Thank you.

I am so glad we have found the Merrymaid. The owners are great; friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food is well spiced, varied and delicious. The mixed grills are the way to go, possibly have a curry to accompany it for some sauce. The chilli and onion nann is great, with the vegetables folding into the dough giving crunch. If you are put off by the rough round the edges side of things, you are crazy. The staff and locals are a delight. Well done all. We will definitely be back.

Food was amazing as always. Great atmosphere, reasonable price. After food can go into the bar for drinks, snooker and music. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Food is incredible and cheap! My partner gets the mixed grill and I usually get a vegetarian curry, all of which are amazing (mutter paneer is my favourite). We’ve been going regularly for a good few years now and it’s always consistently tasty.
