Golden Bamboo - Birmingham

I have been ordering from this takeout place for years and every person I have introduced to it has become a fan instantly. The sauces and dishes are all delicious, consistent in quality, delivered promptly, and made with good quality ingredients. I highly recommend it.

We recently moved close to Golden Bamboo and decided to try it for the first time despite being loyal to our old Chinese restaurant. What a mistake it was! Upon arrival, my partner was ignored as he entered to pick up our order. Once we got home and opened our sweet and sour chicken, we discovered it was only half full (see photos). When we called to address the issue, we were met with a rude, sarcastic, and condescending response. The person on the other end tried to blame the mistake on our request to exclude onions due to an allergy, instead of offering a solution. There was no effort to correct the mistake, only a dismissive attitude of "it's not my fault you're not happy". The sweet and sour sauce was watered down, heavy on vinegar, and lacking in chicken. We will never be returning to this place and will advise our new neighbors to choose a different restaurant.

The food at this restaurant is always delicious and piping hot. The portions are generous and offer great value, and the staff is lovely and friendly. I have been coming here for years and no other place compares!

Both my wife and i had a meal delivered to our home i found the service very good and the food was hot,the best egg fried rice i have ever had and it did come on time you must give it a try very good,yes will go back to order
