Bidrage med feedbackAbsolutely the best food in and around bham. I cant get by often because its quite a drive from my home but anytime I come close to this place i HAVE to stop in for a few tacos and some sweet bread from the bakery. Sometimes i even make a special trip just to get the ginger type pig shaped soft cookies(? . They bake all their breads fresh daily! The staff is welcoming and helpful! Its by far the best place to eat... not just the best mexican joint but the best out of all the different options. Downfall- they sell out of some of the sweet bread so fast sometimes i miss out.
One of my all time favorite Sketch-Mex restaurants! I recommend going on the weekends when the avocado-infused pico de gallo is on the sidebar. Chicken tacos are excellent!
So freaking good! What a delightful find this was. The tacos we're fabulous and I'm definitely coming back for more.
Can't wait to eat here.... Ran into Gordo's booth at the AL State Fair this year... They were serving several different types of tacos. I ordered one pork/onion corn tortilla taco and had them top it with onions and cilantro. It was over the top fantastic... probably one of the freshest and tastiest tacos I've put in my mouth. Can't wait to try other menu items and check out the establishment... Also, I highly recommend you to make it a point to keep your eyes peeled, at public events, for Gordo's vendor booth. Definitely worth stopping by and sampling.
Delicious, authentic, fresh. This restaurant meat market bakery occupies several levels of an aging strip center on Valley Avenue. I tried the al pastor and chicken tacos, which were both delicious. A salad bar-type cart offers a variety of sauces, fresh cilantro and diced onions, as well as other toppings, but I was unable to discern the hot sauces from the mild ones. Fortunately, I was happy with the sauces I opted for. The restaurant was busy, and the al pastor (barbecue pork), which is cooked on a vertical spit, was tasty and tender. Recommended for those who want their Mex without Tex.
