Baanko - Bialystok

One of the few places I actually miss in Białystok. Delicious food, very reasonable prices and huge portions. Really, sharing or starving better if you treat with the full alone. Totally recommended!

Pozytywne zaskoczenie. Obsługa mega miła. Ceny przystępne czy to potraw, czy napoi. Porcje duże. Jeżeli chodzi o smak to na samym początku bardzo wyraziste smaki potraw. Jednak pod koniec porcji stają się trochę mdłe i mało wyraziste. Nie wiem czym to było spowodowane. Jednak wystarczyło tych 50-100g nie zjeść i wszystko było ok. Przyznam szczerze, że pierwszy raz się z czymś takim spotkałem, jeżeli chodzi o smak. Dodam, że żona miała podobnie. Wróciłbym do Baanko ponownie.

Good food, but best prices.

Food is A+. Shoutout to the asian man in the kitchen for knowing how to whip it in there! The lady running the place isn 't friendly. My brother and I bought a meal each along with a juice drink. (I was extremely hungover and I barely could drink and/or eat at the time but that did not affect the taste of the food which was phenomenal). I noticed that the largest water drink was a pint. So I asked the lady at the counter (probably the owner) in a friendly manner Do you have any larger waters? Because I am hungover and am parched. Possibly tap water? She replied with There is a sink in the bathroom. Mind you I work this industry as a bartender/waiter.. This is a HUGE NO! (Not because it 's sink water. Sink water here in Poland is generally safe to drink. BUT the bathroom is filled with nasty bacteria. Think of the E. Coli particles floating around from backsplashes generated after each flush (that stuff is real, do research). I know for a FACT that there are sinks in the kitchen. She could have easily poured me a glass. Especially because she was not busy at all. There was 1 top seated already eating their food. The girl that ran the food to us (and cleans the place) is a cutie and is real nice. I 'd come back here for the food and to see her again. I am unhappy with the lady up front that is in charge of this place. In conclusion my experience was acceptable 3 STARS.

Really big portions of food and really cheap but one of the worst Polish-Chinese/Vietnamese I’ve ever had. Very greasy fried noodles, plain basmati rice, all full of MSG and not a fresh veg in sight (cooked with frozen peas and sweetcorn). AVOID
