Bidrage med feedbackWe had to wait 10 minutes inside and then we could eat outside at the terras. Pleasant street, friendly staf. We ate a pizza (verry good) and a salad. I could just eat there especially for the entertaining manager. Had a really nice dinner for...a good price!
We decided to try Nabucco out as we always see it pretty full and gave for granted it was worth a try. As a matter of fact, the service is very italian, waiters are Italians, they bring you bread, focaccia and olives while you wait...for your food, which I thought was very nice. Waiters are experienced and know how to serve food into customers' plates. The food itself though is not as good as I expected after tasting their focaccia (which I liked very much). We had Parmigiana di Melanzane as a starter, and than we had: tagliolini al tartufo and Pappardelle with rucola pesto and bufala. All these dishes were tasteless. The melanzane were completely unsalted and even adding salt, we couldn't recover them. Tagliolini were very dry, they got some taste only after adding parmesan and same goes for the pappardelle. Unfortunately, even though the service was really good, the food itself is not worth it. They accept cc.
Nabucco is a how an Italian expects a ristorante to be not what ohers may believe. The food is a balanced mix of Italian staples with some original inspiration from the cuisine, good balance of antipasti, primi, secondi (and yes, pizza . The antipasti go...beyond the standard roast vegetables, and included rolled and filled delights that you think were just made lovingly by the Mamma (oops, Italian cliches sneak in . Focusing on secondi, we nevertheless enjoyed a shared spaghetti alle vongole, which were excuted without fault, but remained a little discreet. The fish dishes, seasonally prepared with artichokes were tasty and cooked right, and the original flavour and texture combination worked very well. The liver with balsamico was delightful as well, cooked right and also combined skillfully with the surrounding flavours. Contorni, various vegetables, also all to our satisfaction. And finally a charming dessert of mascarpone filled profiteroles. So altogether a real pleasure and everything was worthwile tasting and eating. The wine list is short but selected with good taste and expertise; not only the standards but some interesting choices, which you don't always come across outside of Italy. We enjoyed a Pecorino from the Abruzzo region, which was a fresh and powdery delight. The service was impeccable, the right mix of amicable Italian chattiness and professional training; swift and friendly. Nabucco will easily become one of my new neighbourood favourites; I believe I might even try some day the pizza (they invested in a pizza over after realising that people otherwise don't seem to believe that Nabucco is an authentic Italian... well, but in any case, now that they're making pizza, I am sure they are doing it well!
We have dined several times at the Nabucco during our stays in Berlin. Nabucco is a cozy italian style restaurant serving a nice meal at decent prices, and service is always good. Our last visit was for lunch only, which we enjoyed on the outside...patio.
