We stayed on a journey through Vermont through Bennington and found this place on the way. the best part of this place is their bier selection.

We have been here many times over the years. Tried many things on the menu and never disappointed until 2 days ago. First of all, we absolutely understand about the shortage of help in restaurants due to the pandemic. Even though we waited 40 minutes for our food order, it wasn't the wait that was the problem. It was the quality of the food. Neither of us was happy with the food that arrived after 40 minutes. I ordered the French Dip. It was rubbery, fatty roast beef. I had to tear the sandwich apart to salvage the meat that looked edible. It was the worst sandwich, ever. In the past, I have raved about meals I've eaten at The Madison. My side was house made potato chips. What I received was a huge pile of tiny broken up pieces of greasy chips. There were about 4 actual chips on the plate, the rest were bits and pieces. This is not the Madison I know.
