Grumpy/unfriendly owner. The service is slow. The dishes are nice but a bit on the small size. Prefer the takeaway Japanese at forestway or eat in Thai at Glenrose.

Went here for dinner recently. The owner greeted us and showed us to our outside table. Menus followed. Some 15 minutes later (busy and short staffed) our order was taken. We asked for Tempura battered vegies as a starter and Wagu Beef, Teriaky Chicken, rice etc for a main. Some of the Tempura was floury and believe it or not, the Wagu Beef was tough and overcoooked. The serving size of both dishes was very small. . Cost was $60.

After recently moving to the area we decided to try this restaurant as we love Japanese food. The California roll was good and the other meals of various chicken dishes and wagu beef was ok. The service was good but we found that the dishes just were not up to the high standard we are used to, down to the presentation. I would however go back again with the appropriate expectation in mind.

This was very disappointing. We had eaten here on a number of occasions and the food and service was good. Last night the service was very poor. We had to ask to get wine glasses and plates to share our food twice. The salt and pepper calamari was tough and the batter was of poor quality. We advised the waiter and he smiled and shrugged! We also had sizzling pork which was tasty but as with all dishes it was served with a lot of salad, at least half the plate, with a strong dressing, absolutely not the accompaniment for sizzling pork! In addition their Covid protocols were very loose. I had to ask where their sign on book was and if I hadn’t I expect they would not have asked us to sign in. I know restaurants are doing it tough at the moment and we try and support our local restaurants but they also need to provide good food and service. This local restaurant has now lost 2 regular customers.

Very good and satisfying food. Just a bit exe. Tables are too close together... not ideal for an intmate dinner. Service is reasonably fast and very polite. Plenty of parking. Yummo!
