The Congo Nest - Bechtelsville

A local hidden gem. Excellent, quality, homemade dishes. Not your typical frozen and fried bar food at all. Jeff, the manager, was super pleasant and great. The PA Dutch Potato Soup recipe is his own that he's been making since the age of seven when his grandmother taught him how. It's excellent. We also had a weekly special Southwest Chicken Tortilla Soup and Stuffed Roasted Pork Loin along with a Crab Cake BLT sandwich and Cheesesteak Eggroll appetizer. Everything was excellent! I tried to order their signature Jambalaya to go but they were already sold out for the night. We will be returning!

Nice bar, clean. Food is good for bar food. The fries are crispy, just the way I like them.

The Nest is really clean and beautiful inside. Everyone is very nice and polite. And food is fantastic, homemade.

Definitely worth the trip, friendly staff, great vibe, we will definitely be back to try the nest burger.

My wife and I, with friends, have been there 3 times for dinner and had an excellent meal each time. We and our friends are going back again this Thursday. The chicken Croquettes and jambalaya are some of best I’ve ever had. We are hoping for their success
