Myrtle and Rosie's Cafe - Bear River

Full of locals and regular so happy to get a table, book ahead if you want to go. Really warm owners and good choice of breakfast. Delicious and well cooked.

We booked a table as I heard he can be very busy for breakfast. We sat right away. Our order was made in time and the staff was friendly. We see it is very busy, so expect a wait. Not too bad at...all! All articles were enjoyed by the family and overall we had a very nice breakfast with happy and fun locals around us. The location is beautiful, so a beautiful walk after the meal was taken and just had a pleasant time.

I start this assessment by wishing they were opened longer. Close to 3pm eliminates the option of dinner and there is no other place except 12 km away in Digby. Our lunch was fabulous, fast served, all freshly made and very reasonable prices for the current times....We noticed that many locals visited this place, and it is pretty busy about half a hr before closing. The ladies are friendly, the desserts are decadent, and also homemade. They work Wifi, hard to come in Bear River, so we stayed a little longer than planned. it was nice relaxing.

This was a recommendation from our Digby stop since we traveled in the area. We wanted to get in for lunch, but the few tables were full (COVID restrictions), so we just walk the carrot cake. It was really good....The service was a little curt, but maybe because it was busy with the sitting customers. The food looked good with big portions.

I have honestly never had such a tasty burger. I didn’t try the cakes but they certainly looked good. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend.
