Cafe Creme - Bath

Cafe Cream is a charming bakery and coffee shop located in Bath, Maine. During my visit, I tried their gluten-free and vegan celestial bar, which was wonderfully tasty. They also offer a wide variety of smoothies that can all be made vegan. You can choose alternative milks for your drinks at budget-friendly prices. While the vegan options aren't extensive, they are definitely a step in the right direction.

I didn't dine at Cafe Cream because the only vegan option available on the day I visited was a vegan muffin, and I was looking for a full meal. Instead, I discovered another place just half a block away that prominently featured vegan choices on their menu board, which was more suitable for my needs. However, I did find the atmosphere at Cafe Cream to be bright and inviting, and it appeared to be a popular spot. This is an update to my previous review from June 11, 2017.

We stumbled upon this café in a challenging area for vegans during our visit for a special occasion. We stopped by for coffee and were glad to find a few plant-based options available. Even better, they featured a daily vegan special. On the day of our visit, they had a vegan meatball sandwich that was surprisingly good and a refreshing change from the lack of options elsewhere! A local employee at our hotel, who is also vegan, mentioned that there is always a vegan meal available at this café. If you find yourself in Bath, Maine, for any reason, it’s definitely worth it to enjoy a solid vegan meal here.
