My partner and I have eaten here on several occassions and often just had coffee/tea and a cake. Quality is always excellent and a good range of home cooked food. The ambience is a little lacking but that is just my personal opinion.
We visited the garden centre as a family over the October half term. The garden centre itself was fantastic and the Christmas displays were truly magical! After having a good look around we decided to head over to the cafe/restaurant for some lunch. The que...was huge as they clearly did not have enough order/pay stations running to support the amount of customers. I was disappointed they didn’t have a cafe staple soup!!! A child’s meal was £5.95 and when it arrived our 5 year old daughter was given 1 sausage, 5 chips (this apparently was an extra portion to! when I questioned the portion size I was advised this is standard portion for a child’s meal! Outrageous! Our meals were also very mediocre and cold! I would not recommend eating here...over priced for poor quality food! Such a shame as it could be really good!!
We visited for breakfast and a look around the garden centre. The full English was lovely and fairly priced. The garden centre is big and plenty to see. There is a pet bit to buy pet supplies, the clothes part is massive and there is...lots to look at. There is yummy food and drinks to buy, lots of real ale and gin presents. All in all, this place is good to spend a couple of hours.
After we met friends and had a meal in the Harly cafe, we went to notcutts. impressive selection of plants we even bought some stones for our caravan!
