Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful brunch and great service. really loved her taking on a moimosa with blood orange gin and adding a hauch of ingwer. we were so impressed how effective they worked with food allergies and adapted the eating. the manager clearly explained the process of red fahnen / sticker to show what was mine and ok to eat / drink, very soothing. we will definitely come back.
Came as a group of seven with a reservation. Our server, Adam, was amazingly friendly. The food was tasty, and we all enjoyed it. The carafes of water on the table are a nice touch (who wants to pay £2+ for a small bottle when a tap will do? . My only hesitation was the time it took for our food to arrive. We booked for 12.30 because my sister and her family needed to head home by 2pm. Our dishes didn 't arrive until 1.20pm, so my youngest nephew kept telling his oldest brother to hurry up because he wanted dessert. The Victorian decor is nice, but made the interior a little dark towards the back. My nephew described it as posh .
It was very nice, good food and interesting service. It got a little repetitive after we were asked if we had any allergies 8 times, but I guess they wanted to be sure!!! Service was fine however felt like they were getting a bit impatient with us because we were ordering food late (after seeing a colleague who was popping in for a drink), then when she decided to leave, the waiter blocked their exit to take our table's full food order! So yeah, definitely cosy...
Low lighting and spacious seating which are great. Music louder than the conversation which is not ideal. I had the vegan burger which was nice but needs a side to be filling. My wife had a herby green risotto which she enjoyed. Good choice of wines by the glass.
I absolutely adore the ambiance of these charming vintage restaurants. The staff is top-notch, incredibly friendly and attentive. A big shoutout to Sarah for her exceptional service today. I popped in for Pancake Day and was not disappointed. I was slightly taken aback by the absence of traditional chocolate fillings like milk chocolate or Nutella. However, the salted caramel was as delicious as ever, so I ended up choosing salted caramel and whipped cream for my pancakes.
