Biryani Haus - Basel

We ordered from here. The order came late and the food was a really thin stew and extremely tasteless. The consistency of the curry was like an irrigated bouillon. Just do a favor and don't even consider eating here.

I was recommended to this restaurant by an Indian colleague and was there 4 years ago for a wonderful lunch buffet that was so delicious and fresh that I later felt too full for 20CHF, which is a decent price for a meal in this city. Because of this great experience, I ordered a delivery service today via eat.ch. I ordered their special offer 2x Chicken tikka Masala for the price of 1 plus Raita. What I got was a dirty stew with chicken pieces floating around. I had to add salt to correct the taste. It is as if a part was divided into two and was diluted, fat soup, and sad chicken pieces swimming around. Raita had cumin and cardamom, and I added onions and cucumber to it be more like it should be. Now that I look at the review on eat.ch, it has some bad review for the food, and I would rather have chosen another Indian restaurant. Too bad this restaurant has become so bland and not worth it.

I ordered a takeaway, chickens madras and mother wiper..what could go wrong? I have two curries, both with a yellow Bland cream sauce, which was tasted by cream cups and salt.. identical terrible over salted yellow sauce for both dishes that tasted from...Nothing. Whoever cooked it doesn't know about Indian food. A Madras is about the spiciest Indian curry you can get on an Indian menu ..it was this terrible not describing small cubes of white meat, no spices no taste ... really bad. People who review this restaurant need to be used to describe creamy Casseroles that are passed on as Indian food if that is what they want, fine . Honestly, the worst Indian farewell I have ever had. Solid authentic Indian food, insult Indian food, money waste . Good Indian food hard to come in Basel go to the royal palace or bayonet if you want more than cream salt and Tumeric and some taste in your food

Went for the lunchtime all you can eat was ok but all 3 curries more or less tasted the same and not spicy as expected so had been watered down for the cliental, had to ask for some spicy sauce add somef flavour.Also the dining...at bit basic. Not bad priced.

I went to this place with some friends on a Friday night, hoping for a good dinner. But it was more! The food we found was delicious, the service was fast, and the bill was cheap compared to what you pay elsewhere in...town. Will definitely be back!!
