Star Buffet Bankstown RSL

This Christmas dinner experience at a cost of almost $80 per person was a disappointment. We had previously enjoyed dining at the Star Buffet in Canberra, but this experience with our extended family on Christmas day was not the same. The food was unhealthy, lacking flavor, and seemed to have been cooked all together. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Many items on the "Christmas menu" were not available, such as pavlova and roasted potatoes. The half-lobsters were poor quality and the salads consisted only of leaves with no additional toppings. The roasted meats were tough and almost inedible. The lack of gluten-free labeling was also a letdown. Overall, this experience was a big disappointment and I would not return to this restaurant.

The recent food they served was extremely unsanitary. They attempted some dim sum, but Chinese roasted pigs were not available on the menu. The portion of prawns was meager. It would be better to avoid going there altogether, as all the dishes were shockingly poor quality.

This buffet in Sydney was awful. I believe they just threw all the food into a pot and cooked it, resulting in a terrible taste. I will not be returning.

Absolutely the WORST buffet I've ever had in my life. this organization must immediately be closed the city! filthy dirty tables that were not wiped by the previous customer and the hands of all were with the plastic pliers at the buffet! I. my handbag down and when I bent down, I noticed a dirty used covid mask on the floor right next to my bag! the food does not taste fresh and they put the loads of msg in their food. the workers are incredibly rude and they just want them to eat quickly and out and what was there to eat? there was hardly anything to eat. there was no hot roast meat lamb or truthahn and not even a roast chicken breast or chicken breast no roast chicken wings no salat no lasagne no tortellini no garlic bread or pizza no curry dishes and hardly desserts. there were no big snapper fish that used to be a regular feature on the Asian buffet area and the garnels were ridiculous. tiny pale pink prawns not bigger than a school prawn! it was too meticulous. they looked like they put everything in the freezer to save money, but you can't make it ****! I paid $70 for myself and my two children to have a very simple lunch and around it was faced by the rude madly waitress who was running around you are done? are you finished? and before you could answer her, she took your plate away and put her in the dirty one she was driving around. if I were to rate it with zero star. terrible customer service and terrible eating

Been there many times until the pandemic. Revisited few weeks ago for lunch. Quality of food was awful and not even fresh. Paid 20 dollars but less selections as before. Staffs serving were rude. Not worth the money.
