Bidrage med feedbackReally liked the food overall. Thai green curry dish can be improved. Ambience of the restaurant is great and I liked the seating arrangements and the furnishings. They can do away with the curtain at their entrance. Few of my friends, declined entering the restaurant! The big black curtain makes place look very shady!
Rating: Please Avoid Only thing you would gain out of visiting this place is a hole in your pocket. Tom yum soup was cold and tasted bad. We ordered 4 different starters and none of them excited us. The crying tiger wings made me cringe and cry for it was nothing but tandoori wings. I was so looking forward to thai spices in the wings. The other order was a seafood in chilli sauce. This dish was also below average. And all these starters costing you anywhere from ₹500-600 really makes me wonder what the USP if this restaurant is. Drunken veg noodles ₹530 was the worst of the lot. Thai Red curry and jasmine rice again came in cold with no flavours in it. Waiters were unable to communicate well. The restaurant manager was quite rude and lacked basic courtesy. I would never visit this place again. I would let you all decide for yourself, but if you want to save yourself some money stay away. Forgot to mention they charge a 10% service charge which I asked to be removed. It took them close to 30 minutes with all the waiters coming together for a round table conference and what not. I waited patiently as that saved me ₹500.
Hands down, Siam is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Been here about 7 8 times and the food is always impressive. It's also authentic Thai, which can be hard to find in Bangalore. Ambience is lovely and tasteful. The place is usually quiet on weekdays but the crowds come in on weekend nights, largely due to their musical nights. The ‘One Night in Bangkok’ effect. Although the music can get a bit loud, it really doesn’t matter because they play a really good selection of upbeat classic songs. Sad to hear that Siam is closing down but they have a new Pan Asian venture planned, which should be equally exciting. Hope you guys retain many of the dishes from your menu specifically the Pad Thai with peanuts, Crispy Fish, Stir Fry Basil Chicken, Red Curry with Rice and Chicken Satay. Looking forward to the new restaurant, good luck.
Small cozy restaurant, with tastefully done ambience. This is a good destination for thai food lovers. Veg dumplings, veg steamed bun, bangkok rice bowl were all good. The hot sauce that came with the dumplings was the best dip I've ever had (flavours of lemon grass, basil, chilis in a sauce where the ingredients could still be seen instead of being mashed to a pulp loved the texture). The attendants were easily available and helpful. It was a bit warm where I sat, and I had to ask for AC to be turned on. The choice of seating was restricted by the manager (we were allowed to take a 4 seater in a corner but not in another place) that wasn't cool.
A special mention to the ambience of this place, feels really authentic. We went on a Friday night and the DJ was playing some really cool classics which eventually lead everyone to groove on the dance floor! The service in terms of food is really slow but the waiter is ready to help in every possible way. Their menu has changed so couldn’t match everything that is available online. As for the food, we had ordered: Starters: Fried lotus stem: okay, could’ve been crispier, could taste cornflour towards the end, should be served with some sauce Thai veg dumplings : great, and the dip that came along was super good! Asked for an extra helping Fried corn kernels: simple yet really good Spicy prawns: very spicy but good, good presentation Thai veg spring rolls: good Main course: Pad thai (tofu): I’ve never had sweet pad thai, this dish wasn’t really impressive Smoked meat rice bowl served with eggs: great, must order Veg dumplings soup bowl: simple yet delicious Fried noodles with black bean sauce veggies: I’d consider this their best dish among the ones we ordered Desserts: Coconut pudding custard: good Drinks: (their presentation is good with exotic flowers floating on your drinks) Muay thai punch: okay Pattaya martini: okay Basil sangria: okay Blushing dragon: good Somehow felt like their cocktails weren’t flavourful nor strong enough, tasted diluted Overall the experience was good, some of their saved the others. I would recommend the place to give it a go.
