This evening, I stopped by little Mexico with some family and friends for dinner. The food was very good and for a local Mexican restaurant, quite authentic. All though many of us found it to be a little too spicy in places, it was worth the trip to flavor town and something worth remembering. I thought one member of my party getting sombreroed (which definitely came as a surprise, for us all) was extremely hilarious and the fact that you could eat a bison burrito in little Mexico, was pretty impressive. I will definitely come back, and who knows maybe even get somebreroed. The atmosphere was a little too loud for us at a table of 6, but nonetheless still worth the trip to little Mexico, lol if you know what I mean. Magpie and Stump in Banff promises a unique experience with its Mexican-themed ambiance amidst the mountainous landscape. The restaurant certainly delivers on its promise, offering a lively atmosphere reminiscent of Mexico. Their quesadillas are a treat for the taste buds, with gooey cheese and flavorful fillings wrapped in a warm tortilla. They strike a perfect balance between traditional Mexican flavors and local ingredients. The fajitas are no different. Sizzling and aromatic, these fajitas definitely pleases everyone. The generous portions of tender meat and colorful veggies make for a satisfying meal, perfect for sharing among friends or family. If i were to collapse there, you can definitely revive me with the tacos. Magpie and Stump's tacos are a must-try, with a variety of fillings to choose from, including savory meats, fresh seafood, and vibrant vegetarian options. Each bite bursts with authentic Mexican flavors, transporting diners to the streets of Mexico. It is also outstanding how when you walk in here, you'll find people of all races and creeds there to enjoy the meal. Just thought we would give the restaurant a try. Well, the quesadilla was ok, not the best we've had. I didn't care for the tacoes at all. Very basic, no flavor, chicken was dried out. Chances of returning are probably slim to nill. Not recommended. Cheers. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
