Zum Osi - Bamberg

It is always good to find a small bar in Germany that makes good food, has a good selection of drinks plus is used by locals. In the nearby Congress Hotel Bamburg we explored the area, stumbled over Zum Osi and decided to visit. A friendly little bar there was a mix of students enjoy some hearty meals, a few families and a group of people playing cards. We decided to share a burger and chips that was a really good meal was delicious, fresh products plus great chips!! When you look at the food around us, the portions are large, the offer was great (carvings, pizzas, burgers etc.) and all looked really good. A great little find, especially if you don't want to go to the city and meet one of the most popular and lively places.

We went here for the weekly language school regular table. Most cartridges were locals, the staff was pleasant, but not very informative. We arrived after 6:00 and ordered our drinks. Then about 30 minutes later we ordered our meals. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a device problem that delayed our meals for an hour, although we were never told what was going on. In the meantime, we all really got hungry. Our table got our meals at 8:00 and the other table 20 minutes later. The salads were big, but drown in dressing. The carving sections were huge, like the hamburgers. While we got an apology, a discount on food or drinks would have been a wise gesture. Nevertheless, I would say if you like carving, try this place for a less tourist option.

American tourists here. I found this place on the recommendation of a German friend. It's a small turnkey remnant at a junction. I went in and there were soft lighting and pleasant crowd. The music was low enough to allow the conversation, and they played a lot of English songs to some classics of Queen, Guns Roses and Billie Joel. The bartender spoke some English and helped make menu recommendations. Beer was cold and fresh. I ordered a steak (listed as a roast beef on the menu) and it was as tender as what I would expect from a steak house in the states. The side potatoes surprised me; cooked only the correct amount with a hearty buttery taste. I stayed until they started closing and had the chance to meet the cook. Everything about friendly personalities here. I highly recommend this place when you travel through Bamberg.

Around satisfied. were certainly not the last time there. absolutely and unresolved to recommend. eating was plentiful and tasteful very good.

In the neighboring room met a few musicians and played groovy folk music, everything very loose and uncomplicated here.
