Barrett's Coffee - Austin

Very nice coffee shop that is also a roasters I believe. Parking is a little funky so make sure you don’t too early because map apps will have you turning into a vacant building spot.Then inside is very cool with great service and importantly great coffee. The espresso shots are well pulled and their homemade beverages are excellent and well balanced.

Very calm nice place to sit and sip on coffee, or just grab a taco. Staff is friendly and the food is great.

Barrett’s is by far the best deal on coffee in North Austin. They roast very good quality coffee. They make excellent espresso. The staff are generally the least pretentious baristas in the city. My only complaints are parking and generally poor lighting on the interior. They’re my primary place to buy beans and grab a drink.

We went to Barrett Coffee on a Saturday afternoon, and I appreciated the aesthetic of the atmosphere and we both felt the service from the staff was nice and welcoming.However, we found the coffee to be disappointing. I ordered the Nitro Root Beer Float and I found the taste to be off-putting in the sense that I couldn’t really taste the coffee or the intended root beer flavor. Unfortunately, at this time I wouldn’t recommend the Nitro Root BeerFloat to anyone. I also was able to try an iced caramel latte and we both thought the caramel flavor was good but overall the iced latte was too sweet for our liking and we would recommend next time for others who like the flavor of stronger coffee to ask the barista to make the caramel iced latte to be less sweet or adding an extra shot of expresso.
