One can see Persian influence in the intricate jaali works (badly damaged though) When we visited, the lone guard was quite surprised to see us and said no one visits this tomb. I felt it is as if Malik Ambar is saying no one remembers me.

But in one of the battles Malik Ambar was defeated by the Mughals and had to surrender the fort of Ahmadnagar. You must visit this beautiful place. Malik Ambar was an Abyssinian (present day Ethiopia) slave who rose into the ranks in the army of the Nizam Shahi dynasty of Ahmadnagar.
