I went there today and ordered some food that specifies that it has cheese on it. When I got the order opened it up seeing that it didn't have cheese I went back to the front and ask them could they put a little cheese on it please they said no I would have to pay for it I explained to him and showed him a receipt that I've already paid for the item that included cheese and they said no that the only thing that they could do was sell me some cheese. Well that's kind of like going to McDonald's and ordering a cheeseburger and getting no cheese on your double cheeseburger. It was more of the principle that I'd already paid for it and then they could not make it right the only thing they can offer to do is sell me what was already sold to me and paid for horrible restaurant crooks at best. I gave him a fair opportunity to make it right
I had never tried Don Pepe's restaurant until today, but I can confidently say that I am now a devoted fan. Whether Don Pepe has a million fans or just a few, I am proud to be counted among them. The food was absolutely delicious, to the point where I would choose it as my last meal if I were on death row. The staff at the Augusta Mall location on Tuesday, June 21st, truly went above and beyond to make my dining experience special. Don Pepe, you have won me over completely.
I did not speak with the management during my first visit, which was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was good. However, when I returned two months later at around 11 o'clock, right when they opened, the service was slow and my order was incorrect. I had ordered beef street tacos and a beef taco salad, but the meat had no flavor. Additionally, they mistakenly gave me a chicken taco salad instead of the beef I had requested. Unfortunately, they do not offer refunds.
Staff was very friendly. I have an onion allergy and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Food was delicious. Portion size was huge! I ended up getting 4 meals from my entree.
