Sakura - Astoria

The prices at this restaurant are deceptive and the sushi is extremely bland. A few coworkers and I decided to order sushi from here. After checking the menu online, I called to place the order. When I went to pick it up, I was shocked to find that the price was much higher than what was listed online. I pointed this out to the lady working there, but she simply said that the online prices were not valid. For three people, the total came out to be $20 more than what was advertised online. Additionally, the sushi itself was extremely tasteless, possibly the most bland sushi I have ever had. I have had a lot of sushi in my life, and this was by far the worst. It felt like if I were to make sushi at home, it would taste better than what we were served.

I ordered 4 rolls and an appetizer at the restaurant today. I was unhappy that the rolls were placed in two separate containers and that two of the rolls were missing pieces - one only had 4 pieces and the other had 5. They also gave us the wrong roll, and by the time we realized, they had already closed for the night. Additionally, we requested extra sauces but they never sent them to us.

Great sushi. Delicious soup. Amazing gyoza. The food was delivered by UE in 20 minutes. Will definitely order from here again.

I'll go for lunch any minute. It is a decent place, and there is sushi in general on the point and I like there gyoza. However, I do NOT recommend ordering the katsu don pork. It is bland, teig and very tasteless. I expected a crispy pig like in Japan, but that wasn't what I expected. I recommend this place again, but I would recommend to stay away from the order there katsu don.

The delivery was fast, but the prices were high for the area and quality. I was not impressed by any of the rolls, especially the sashimi rolls which lacked flavor (the tuna was particularly bad). I wouldn't order from here again, but if I had to, I would stick to the sushi rolls.
