I eat at Panda House frequently and have never had anything bad. The food is always hot and fresh, and I have never had anything that was short on meat or flavor. The staff is very nice. Occasionally, the food takes time to appear, but I’d rather have itdone right. It’s not supposed to be fast food.
My wife and I live around the corner from this restaurant. I have been wanting to try it for a while as I love this type of food. Sadly, this was the worst dinner we 've had in quite some time. We ordered the Sizzling Rice Soup you can see it inthe photos. Their menu lists this soup as Chicken broth blended with shrimp, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, celery, carrots, and gold rice crust on top. As you can see there 's no gold rice crust just a plastic container of cheap crunchy stuff(not rice). The so called chicken broth was just water. There was no flavor just a lot of random veggies and something thatmight have been chicken in some hot water. Then we ordered Imperial Shrimp: The finest large, great prawns with a nutty, crunchy tender taste. Caressing your palate with a burst of sweetness gentle spices. Served with broccoli. As you can seein the photo, these sure aren 't imperial shrimp and in fact they are quite small and cheap shrimp. They had NO flavorwhatsoever and were honestly the worst shrimp I 've had from a restaurant. Additionally, we ordered the Sesame Chicken:Deep fried white meat sautéed with sweetened brown sauce. Served with sprinkled sesame seeds. This entree was mediocre notbad, not good. Portion was small for $13.20. About 8 pieces of chicken. Both entrees included fried rice but upon pickup Iwas informed that they were out of fried rice. On a Tuesday......at 7 pm when there wasn 't ANYONE in the restaurant. Our billfor this terrible meal was $47.00 after tip (yes I still tipped because the staff still did work). We could have gotten betterfood for $20 at Panda Express.
I’m so sad because I was so excited to try this place by my work! I ordered the chicken curry lunch special and I asked for it to go. Since I was on my lunch break I just decided to eat some there. I was so disappointed when I opened up the to gocontainer because the curry had spilled all over. It’s not soupy like curry is supposed to be. Which that didn’t bother me,it was decent but bland. There was an egg roll, which was delicious, however, the part that really surprised me was the lack offood and meat. There were chunks of bell pepper and onion and 5 bites of tiny chicken meat. Probably about a cup measure full. Imean $13 for this and some rice seemed so crazy!
Friendly service! Great food! We had Three Delicate Soup, Happy Family plate, Orange Chicken, with egg rolls! Food was excellent! Just like when the original restaurant was on Cooper Street. We love this place!! We will be back soon!
