The Sunday roast dinner was excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly and the vegetables, especially the carrots, were delicious. The brownie paired perfectly with the mint ice cream. I will definitely be coming back.

We had a fantastic experience at this comfortable yet roomy hotel. The sitting areas and fires were a delightful touch, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The food was outstanding and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. With amenities like a swimming pool, gym, and sauna, it offers everything you could need. Don't miss out on the amazing whisky bar - you'll be tempted to give it six stars as well.

We decided to stop here for lunch without prior reservation. We called only a short time ahead and were greeted with a very warm welcome. A fire was lit in the lounge where we enjoyed some drinks before our meal. The food surpassed our expectations and I highly recommend paying a visit.

We were here for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a Diamond Wedding and what a great place for a Doo. We had a lovely afternoon in a sunlit function room with great views over the golf course (Edzell Golf Club is a near neighbour). Lovely fresh sandwiches, cakes and scones the sausage rolls looked really good, but I didn't try one (pal next to me may have had a few Very tasty freshly brewed coffee served from cafetieres really hit the spot. This hotel is a real gem. The new owners have great plans for the hotel and are very kind, helpful, and friendly. Better still they are experienced hotel and hospitality professionals. The hotel facilities are excellent including an indoor swimming pool. The area has lots to offer, great local walks with the hills and coast nearby and then there's that golf course!

The ambience of the whole hotel made you very relaxed. The owner and staff were so helpful.and the food was excellent. I would certainly go back again, and wish the staff all the very best for the future Jim Riley Aberdeen
