Samurai Sushi - Anchorage

Stopped in for some sushi, terriyaki chicken and fried rice. It's been years, and was hoping they made it through the pandemic! All still good food! Good service!!

We live nearby and go here whenever as a couple are too lazy to drive on date night or dont want to put up with just soo soo food in anchorage. they are friendly to everyone and sometimes give free desserts if they think you are on a date hilarious. they have survived the pandemic and are very clean. come as you are and they will accomodate. They only play romantic and sweet dating music. the beef tempura is excellent. their sauces are what make this place. not really a group place, more for couples that are tired and hungry

We stopped by after a visit to the heritage center. There is plenty of parking. The decor is really nice. There is a single lady caring for all the tables so you have to be patient. We had a couple of the chef's special rolls which were really tasty. We had edmame and domburi as well as a chicken fried rice. They gave us miso soup for free as a lunch special. It was a pleasant lunch.

I have visited this restaurant for years. It is good food, but I will never return. There are signs all over the entry way indicating the mantra, No Mask, No Service , but here the Sushi chef wears no mask. As I entered, I asked why he was not wearing a mask. He said he was. I am not blind nor was I imagining seeing him prepare food while no mask on. He said nobody was in there. Yet I was there to pick up food, and the masked waitresses were in there. His responses were full of attitude . It would have been ok had he apoIogized and just put a mask on his mouth and nose. I guess everybody else has to wear a mask upon entry except the person breathing all over your food. Yummy. I walked out shocked and angry. I don 't get it. It is great to have these restaurants open, but if they are not going to follow measures to prevent the spread of COVID then shut them down and let them go under. This is one place I will never return to, ever!

My husband and my friend enjoyed the sushi very much. I don't care for sushi so didn't eat it. Friend stopped to get some for her daughter on the way home and husband ordered extra for dinner so you'll have to take that as a recommendation. He said they were slicing the fish as he walked in.
