Gallo's Mexican Restaurant - Anchorage

I ordered dinner for two, picked it up on time and paid $45.00 for this dinner. The cost was ok, the food was awful!! It was like the kitchen ran out of ingredients. we ordered chili verde, that's not what we got. Neither of us could eat the food, even the beans were awful. AND we had asked for extra sauce and some salsa, we never got either. I don't think I will be having dinner here again.

A full menu, reasonable prices and huge margaritas. What more could one ask for? Able to handle large groups, friendly staff, fast service. Two locations to better serve your dining needs. Check it out.

Margaritas and steak chipotle tostadas, perfect together. Finished with margaritas and shrimp fajitas. All very good.

Their margaritas are the best, Nacho the bartender treat us like queens. Our food was very tasty, we ordered only appetizers and they have a good selection for us to choose. The sampler plate had something for everyone and Chips and salsa were free!!! Everybody was very friendly.

Over the years my wife and I have eaten here as a couple, family, and with large groups. The service has always been excellent. The food is pretty average for Tex-Mex cuisine. The big plus is the service. They staff is attentive without being in your face. The chips and salsa are kept full and the water as well. Another really good feature is the margarita. I really like the way they are done. They are very tasty. The price is what you would expect in Anchorage for a good drink of that size. One of the few drawbacks is the dining room is close to the bar and that tends to make it noisier than I would like.
