Bidrage med feedbackJust found out it's Moving from Anaheim to old town Placentia. Can't wait to give it a shot.
I just need someone to tell me 2 things! 1)WHY have I never been here before this past weekend? 2) WHY IS THE FOOD SO GOOD HERE?! This has to be the cutest little dive bar/deli ever! My friend and I were craving a really good sandwich and refused to eat at...well you guys know, come on. Best decision EVER! Service was awesome, and quick! There was a good amount of people there on a late Saturday afternoon. The food? Whew! I 've been craving it ever since! My friend and I ordered and shared the Fender club and the Werner. Those sandwiches definitely bring a new meaning to all meat treat ...maybe I made that up haha. These sandwiches were piled high on really delicious breads. The lettuce and tomato were so fresh, not soggy at all, and the meats were great quality! You know what I wasn 't expecting though? For the sides to be as good as they were! The potato salad and macaroni salad tasted like something I 'd make at home...and that says a lot considering I once was an executive chef...I mean...that stuff has literally been on my mind day and night since we 've eaten here. The chips were a brand that I 'd never heard of, but very delicious. You can 't really go wrong with a kettle chip. All in all, if I wasn 't worried about my blood pressure and my wallet, I 'd be here multiple times a week; but for now I will enjoy this place as a special treat. Everyone who reads this review needs to eat here...again, and again, and again.
Huge place to hang out and taking a bite of their awesome sandwich is where you can find me! Fresh produce and definitely generous portions. I was really amazed at their salad! Loaded salad which can be shared with 2-4 people! Glad you could bring your pet and enjoy their covered back patio e seating!
It's been a couple of years since I've been here but it was a staple in Fridays when I worked in Anaheim. It was nice to randomly be in this part of town. I've tried so many of their sandwiches and you can't really go wrong. The portion is huge and I always take one half to go for dinner. Definitely need to stop and check it out!
Socal Weekend Walkarounds takes you to Anaheim. Off the beaten path is Tony's Deli. First opened in 1958. Ordered the usual couple of beers and 2 of the best sandwiches of our lives. We ordered the Fender Club and the Hornet. The Hornet is thick smoked turkey breast, salami, pepper jack cheese with sweet hot mustard on squaw. The Fender Club is turkey, Capicola, BLT, Swiss cheese with Chipotle mayo on Toasted Sourdough. Each sandwich was stuffed with meats, served with a pickle and a side of either Tony's classic potato salad or macaroni. Definitely check out Tony's when in Anaheim. Thank you, Mike!
