Bidrage med feedbackI really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, esp. Sebastian at the front desk. The rooms were clean and modern. The hotel had everything. The elevators are super fast! Easy to get to Disney, only downfall parking is super expensive.
Extremely disappointed by the room I got!!! I'll be staying here for an entire week, even booked a more expensive room facing the pool expecting to have a sunny balcony with a nice view, which is definitely NOT the case. As soon as you step out of the balcony door I see and in particular hear the huge, ugly and extremely noisy air conditioning and electric facilities of the hotel. Clearly not acceptable for the price that I've paid for my stay here! Hardly any storage space, so it's impossible that 2 persons unpack their luggage. Update: Awake since 5am thanks to the yelling infant in the room next to mine as you hear every word from the adjacent room due to the connection doors between the room. The sliding door of the bathroom is also very unpleasant as you hear every noise in the room and no one wants to hear everything that's going on in the bathroom. In total this room gives you the feeling of staying in a 2 motel, but not of a very expensive 4 hotel!
Freshly remodeled, this property hit all the marks during our stay. Check in was flawlessly cordial, our room was clean and comfortable and the concierge lounge and its staff were great. Breakfast was fresh and included a nice array of pastries and hot items, plus the usual cereal, fruit and oatmeal. Loved the coffee espresso machine! The afternoon appetizers were delicious and plentiful, and although we missed it this time around, I hear the dessert hour is yummy as well. There’s self serve salty and sweet snacks during the day, and the fridges are stocked with the usual selection of cold drinks. A special shout out to the FDA who made some sweet magic happen for us, we really enjoyed our treats! Looking forward to trying the gym out (it’s 24hrs! A rarity! and the using the pool area during our next stay. For those visiting the Anaheim resort, there’s a shuttle to the parks and tons of stuff in close proximity to the hotel.
8/6/22-Update: adding a star here because someone in the accounting department resolved a reservation change related charge after I called in to inquire about it having discovered it on my cc statement. It really speaks to their character for Customer Svc. Despite some update challenges, service is pretty doggone awesome here. Kudos! While the awesome experience of a much-needed family vacay the weekend before the 4th outweighed the stay, it would’ve been nice if the hotel had just a bit more cleanliness and comfort to offer. First off, the staff was great. For starters the young, calienté cutie of a valet guy, Leo. He embodied a great first impression for service. Seriously though, I appreciate how he didn’t give any hassle (usually they ask for keys and give a time limit) to park my truck out under the front lobby port for a bit as I floundered around to get my kids out settled, then lug overpacked belongings from the trunk. Leo offered a luggage cart I got it back to him bc oftentimes guests leave these outside of their rooms and staff has to go hunt them down. PEOPLE bring the luggage carts back down to the lobby for your fellow man and give the staff a hand! Leo’s courteous attitude was refreshing and set the tone for the type of service, including from other staff, we came to know throughout our stay. As for the rooms (rented 2), these could use some refurbishing. Marriott is a preferred brand but this was a 3-star room letdown. A stickler for cleanliness and minimizing germs, easy to notice scuff marks on the walls throughout the room and bathroom, clusters of dust in crevices or corners, a slight hairy gunk clogged shower drain, a dingy throw rug in between the beds, etc. And could’ve done without spotting a couple of suspect pubic hairs in the shower a long stray strand caught up in a large bath towel. Certain details being more magnified for a self-professed germaphobe that 's OCD-ish. The A/C was kind of loud and clunky, like a fridge with a snoring problem- intermittently noisy through the night. Most of the carpet throughout the hotel looked like it hadn’t made love to an industrial carpet cleaner in months. And that laundry room. Not much better than one in a seedy neighborhood motel and brought back some childhood 80s nostalgia, ‘The Shining ', because it was located down the end of a dark and dank hallway of an upper level floor. As I stood in there to toss some rinsed out swim gear into the dryer, had an eerie feeling I’d be seeing those twins pop up down the hall at any moment with a come and play with us invite. A bit creepy and outdated, that laundry room may not have been dusted and cleaned in decades. Kidding but it was pretty dark, dusty and severely outdated. The restrooms throughout the hotel lobby didn’t fare much better, appearing a bit dank, dim and kind of dingy with paper towels strewn about, a stained floor and noted some smudge marks on bathroom stalls- could’ve doubled as a busy airport restroom. For bragging rights as a full-service Marriott, why not do better to improve facilities with some remodeling. And foot traffic aside, I’ve had a quite a share of stays at other busy full-service hotels but they managed to maintain a clean and comfy property. Pretty disappointing considering the location. And considering that these rooms can easily exceed $350 bucks/ night. Be it supply demand. And parking: $29. I felt it could’ve been more reasonable at about $10/day if one must pay for parking. Overall the pleasant poolside experience with my family, comfortable beds and service made up for any lack of impressive lodging. Kudos to housekeeping and the laundry bin toting gentlemen (don’t recall his name) who never passed without a warm smile and chipper greeting. The front desk was good about acknowledging guests and offered pretty fast turnaround on requests. Would we stay here again? Maybe, just that it seemed a bit mediocre for a full-service Marriott. There’s definitely room for improvement (no pun intended).
Hotel is always very nice. The rooms are clean and spacious. The downstairs area is inviting and well decorated with every season and holiday. The front desk is quick and helpful. The food is good. The valet is quick.
