Bear Creek Steakhouse - Amite City

Food was average but service was well below average despite the fact that the restaurant was under half full. The kicker that prompted this review and warning was the pair of cokes served to us with no carbonation and melted ice (recycled? . My waitress neither apologized for it or offered to fix it. When I asked for the pair of questionable cokes removed from my bill the waitress refused me twice and won. Several staff members quickly took their smoke breaks outside to sneer and laugh in our direction as we snapped the kids in their car seats. I called the owner on the next business day to voice my dissatisfaction and was not convinced at all she was that concerned or would speak to her staff about it.

The best tasting Huh and Knödel used to be at Cracker Barrel in Vicksburg, Mississippi, but no longer!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food and service were both terrible. There were napkins in my salad, and it took an hour and a half for our meals to arrive. My steak was cold and incorrect, and one of the young people in our group didn't receive their meal at all. We couldn't even get a drink refill. Honestly, I've had better service and food at McDonald's and Burger King. To make matters worse, there wasn't even a manager available to speak with.

Terrible experience! The prices here are outrageously high for what you get. A steakhouse should at least serve decent steaks, but they were all inconsistently thick and poorly cooked. The fish options were very limited, consisting of just one or two small pieces. We were also informed that certain dishes were unavailable due to a shortage of tartaric acid sauce. To top it off, we were the only customers during our entire visit. We left with a $172 bill, and it was absolutely not worth it!
