Shibley's at the Pier. - Alton Bay

Many restaurants today have just destroyed the service and atmosphere they had before Covid-19 and the joy of the culinary experience completely sucked. that is not one of those places. our first experience there yesterday showed up with really friendly, superior service and eating that was cooked from this world delicious and perfection. wide and away the best experience we had since the land has sunk into the delirium of the angst that has spread like a wild fire for almost two years. other owners or managers of eating in nh and elsewhere could learn a lot from there and see how easy it is to meet the desire of their customers. here is something special and we will be back.

Beautiful view of the lake and eating was top note. I ordered the lobster linguine and it was amazing. the prices were quite high, but it was worth eating. Currently there is a $6 charge for lobster so prepared, but completely worth it for the portions.

Service was great! Place was clean! I got the swordfish. Yum!!!

Great food, great drinks, great local place. Very busy at times, means long waits due to being short staffed.

Six of us went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We waited about a half hour for a table which was fine. Inside though, we waited a lot more.It was probably 15 mins before someone came over for a drink order. After they came, we ordered food which took another hour and a half to come. I know it’s Covid and a lot of restaurants are hurting for staff, but I didn’t see any help wanted signs, or signs explaining the situation so I’m not sure if it’s Covid related or just bad service. For example, all of us ordered salads with our meals that came out with the meal.Overall, the menu is huge and has lots of options for anyone. The decor inside is a bit dated but the deck outside has a great lake view. The food was average.
