Alioli - Alicante

Former wine merchants with an encyclopedic knowledge of wine paired with simple, elegant, delicious finger food. Each bite and sip is a pleasure and new experience. The wine list would be an inch thick, if there where one. Take the time and don’t hesitate to ask for advice.

I seen this place as I was passing and thought it looked interesting so I wandered in. It was busy and not long after I had entered people were queuing outside. I only had a couple of drinks at the bar but considering the size of the preparation area the food that was going out looked outstanding. Would love to visit again to eat.

After a recommendation from a friend, we booked for dinner here last night. When we arrived there were no seats left and they asked us to stand at a counter to eat. When I requested a seat they said 'you have booked a place not a seat '. We left. Maybe I 'm old fashioned, but when I go out for dinner I expect to be provided with a seat. I think their popularity has gone to their heads. Best avoided if, despite booking, you 're not guaranteed a seat!! I couldn 't help feeling that foreigners are not welcome, even if you speak Spanish.

Todo excelente, trato, comida, ambiente. Volveremos seguro.
