Just left this place and I am full as a tick ya heard. The service was friendly and the food was great. The cornbread is to die for. Definitely put this place on your list!!
Originally had a bad visit but think it is resolved. UPDATE to my original review... I have since talk to the General Manager and I feel that my orginal complaint has been resolve and the store has learned and improve on my problem and they have put measures in place to hopefully prevent what occured on my visit from happening again. I left my original complaint below for reference. One thing they have started doing is finding out when special events are going on local (ex. baseball tournament to be better prepared with staff and food.ORIGINAL Complaint below:I was staying w/ son's baseball in hotel next door. We left ball park and were going to eat at Cracker Barrel. We called ahead to make sure they were open and we were told they were and to come on. But when we got there we were turn away because they could not handle 20 people. We got there 30 minutes before they close but it didn't matter. They should have told that they didn' t want our business when we called. They were made aware on the phone that it was a baseball team. I thought better of Cracker Barrel before this. What is worse is that I email a complaint and never heard back. It has become apparent that Cracker Barrel doesn't care about customer service.
Good Old Fashion Cooking. I've always loved Cracker Barrel, as I'm from the south and have a thing for soul food. However, it is definitely a vegetarian's nightmare. If you are trying to avoid meat, make sure you ask about everything that you're thinking about getting. Even the green beans are cooked with meat (that's the old-fashioned way). Their Macaroni and Cheese is excellent, as are their biscuits. <br/ <br/ The old Southern staple of fried okra also shouldn't be missed.
I have stopped at this location before as well as several stores all over the country. The food has always been good and the service average. Today, the food was good, and the service was excellent! We had the kindest, most attentive waitress I have had anywhere in a very long time. Celie was the best. Customer service in so many areas have dropped to just barley tolerable. There is, at least one person that is an exception. Manager, take note. You have a winner.
