Son Of Egg - Albany

Been there a few times, lackluster service and they keep forgetting parts of my meal! This time I ordered two bulgogi rice bowls for me and my girlfriend and they forgot both the lettuce in both, as well as the sauce in mine. Just sad to be exited for my food wait 40 min pay 40 dollars for two people to get back home and it to be not what I payed for.

9/25/2023 (noon): I have been here few times now and always enjoyed the food but I don’t think I will ever go back again after my recent order. Found an INSECT in the food and I feel guilty that I made my colleague try the food before I found the insect. I don’t usually like to do negative reviews but I just couldn’t help but post this.

Food was solid for price. More fast/take out. Solid hours. Be aware though, no restroom available to customers… I was sent by the employee “next door” to use the restroom, however, the “next door” restaurant did NOT allow me to use their restroom. Once I told the Son of Egg employee this, they simply said “oh no!” And that was it. Be cautious and aware of that, not sure why my wife and I were sent to use the rest room next door if there is no relationship between the restaurants.

The food was decent casual korean food. The place was pretty clean, but the one thing that tanked the rating for me was the fact I had seen a roach or two by my table. I would’ve given the overall review one star, but the girl working at the front desk the night I came in was very helpful and polite.

Order was an hour late but the food was so good it's hard to care.
