Bidrage med feedbackOmg, where do I start? I ordered the wing plate with baked beans and kartoffeln w/gravy. the wings were soouo good! krispy on the outside, juicy on.
My elders wanted fried huh, so we decided on champys because they fried huhn do so well! the service was good, no ruffles, but also no complaining.
When you stop at champy’s, make sure you are not in a hurry! the whole chicken is cooked to order so they have to wait a bit, but it is definitely worth it! the.
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time, and I am so glad that I finally did. The atmosphere is very friendly and interesting, the service was quick and the staff were all smiles, and the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the catfish, and unlike most places where it is overcooked and greasy, it was light, flaky, well-seasoned, and perfectly crunchy. The hush puppies were smaller than I expected, but they were crispy and flavorful. The beer selection was great, and the staff were knowledgeable about the options available. I stayed to enjoy the live music by the Sassy Brown Blues band and had a fantastic time. I can't wait to come back again!
I visited a friend for the first time at Champy's on Thursday evening, April 13, 2017. We started with the Tamales, which were a pleasant surprise. They were served in corn husks with a beautiful sauce, great taste, and a bit of a kick. Next, we tried the fried chicken fries, which were incredibly hot and fresh. The fries had a crispy exterior and fluffy insides, while the chicken was perfectly fried with crispy skin and tender meat. It reminded me of my grandmother's fried chicken. We finished off our meal with the Mississippi Mud and Key Lime cakes, which were good but not outstanding. The highlight of the evening was the live music by Kyle Kimbrell, whose simple style and beautiful voice added to the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. I will definitely be returning to Champy's soon!
