Bidrage med feedbackThe renowned roast duck here is amongst the best in Adelaide. The second and third courses are passable and perfunctory respectively, but the first course is stellar. Warm house made pancakes are provided for you with pre cut slivers of crispy roast duck, cucumber, shallots and a wonderfully moreish sauce. It is this course that more than adequately justifies the entire cost of the meal.<br/ <br/ Between four people, it might not be enough food but this gives you an opportunity to try the other dishes on the menu. The salt and pepper squid was excellent as was their shallot pancakes.<br/ <br/ As said in a previous review, it's best to prebook the duck maybe that and their fortune chicken which seems to be very popular here as well. Will be very keen to return!
I've come here so many times over the years with my family and friends to get my Peking duck fix. The restaurant has become a little dated in recent times but it's still the same open bright and friendly restaurant I remember from when I was a kid. I went recently with a two other friends, we booked and pre ordered the Peking duck. You probably don't need to book before hand but I think it's safer to call ahead and reserve the duck to be sure. The duck banquet is three courses with the duck skin and pancake, duck meat with noodles or rice and duck bone broth to finish. We ordered the fortune chicken and a fried rice as well. The duck banquet alone was probably enough for the three of us. At around $55 for one Peking duck banquet (per duck not per person), I thought this was great value. Whilst not on the same level as Asia, I think Ming's might be the best place for Peking duck in Adelaide, but there are not that many other restaurants offering it. The service was friendly and attentive, although it was fairly quiet. I've always had good meals and Ming's and unless another Peking duck place pops up, this will continue to be my go to for duck.
Easily the Best Modern-Chinese in town.. These guys cater and staff well, even when the restaurant is packed. They have some amazing unique dishes that I have not found anywhere else. I would recommend Orange Duck, Honey Sesame Beef, Salt and Pepper Squid, Chinese Green Beans. They cook it nicely and don't deep fry the **** out of it. You can taste the sauces too, (without that MSG and sugar flare that some cheaper places have). Fast friendly service. I recommend booking, as they seem to do a lot of Weddings and functions, so check first prior to going.
Great restaurant. Beautiful food and helpful friendly staff. Highly recommend
Good service, tasty food and the food portion quite reasonable for the CNY banquet dinner per table. Will go back again to try out other dishes
