Denny's - Abilene

Recently our truck broke down and we stayed at the Best Western waiting for repair. Next to the hotel was a Denny’s Restaurant. With no car Denny’s was our only choice for eating. We were pleasantly surprised by this location. The inside was well kept, clean and the service was cheerful, polite and efficient. We would definitely visit this location again. The food quality was very good also, both breakfast and dinner.

Mother’s Day breakfast was really good. No waiting and the strawberry crepes were delicious!

Stopped at Denny’s for dinner enroute to NewMexico after driving the whole day from Alabama. Ordered the Crazy Spicy Sizzlin Skillet. Service was fast. The food was really good. The place was clean. Enough parking space. Right beside a couple of hotels and open 24-7 which is a great deal. One star is off because a friend of mine was charged extra for fruits that was supposed to be on the side (free).

Jack Flash was an awesome waiter. He was friendly, took our order totally by memory and got everything correct. Food was very good.

The food was cooked to perfection. My server Jolisa was impeccable. She did not rush me she did not bother me she came back and checked on me at appropriate intervals. The atmosphere was very casual and fun. I really enjoyed the music they had playing. It took me way back to the 50s and 60s. Really enjoyed this trip to Denny's on Overland Trail and I-20.
