Bidrage med feedbackFast service and food comes out piping hot but when I ordered the chicken bacon and caesar toastie i’d expect to have the bacon element
I was in Aberdeen for a break from Edinburgh and was looking for a restaurant with healthy options that was dog-friendly. I thought The Pier would be the perfect choice. However, upon arrival, I was informed that dogs were only allowed outside, not indoors. Sitting outside in April by the beach was not a feasible option, so unfortunately, The Pier was not as dog-friendly as I had hoped. It was a very disappointing experience.
While visiting family in the Aberdeen area, we decided to try out The Pier for brunch/lunch. I opted for the ultimate breakfast, but was disappointed to find it overpriced at around £17. Unfortunately, the meal arrived lukewarm and left me with a terrible aftertaste. The bacon was too fatty and slightly undercooked for my taste. The sausages were also unappetizing. The overall quality of the ingredients seemed subpar. My mother ordered Scampi and Fries, but found everything to be overly salted and with a strange aftertaste, possibly from the cooking oil. Some of the other dishes had wilted salad, which was disappointing. Despite the nice and friendly young staff, the food was a letdown. It's a shame because I would like to see the staff succeed. Overall, it was probably the worst breakfast I've had in Aberdeen. Hopefully, they can make some improvements in the future.
£10 for a tiny cup of cold canned lentil soup and a sanwich with the cheapest brown bread that was falling apart and some slices of supermarket chicken and drizzle of grated cheese without any salad
Friendly staff, large menu, we had 3 pancakes, fruit with maple syrup, were lovely, but we thought £12.00 was a bit expensive!! Easy to park on the esplanade on a Wednesday afternoon in March.
