Aurus Restaurant & Lounge - 机场路

I don't live in Mumbai and was visiting Mumbai. After searching for a good restaurant to dine, I decided on Aurus. At first sight the ambience was superb! We immediately loved it. It was very calm and had an excellent view of the beach! But I think the fun stops right there. We ordered our food, which my partner didn't think much of. Although they didn't have chocolate milk shake on the menu, they graciously obliged and made one for my partner and I really appreciated that. But as we left within a couple of hours she felt horribly sick and threw up! She is a doctor and says with certainty that it was the food at this place which caused this!! This may be a stray incident, but it did happen while I shelled out 5k for a dinner!!

Its a crime to be located right on a beautiful stretch of land sea and have god awful food exorbitantly priced menu card! All fluff for not even a decent meal!

Came here on Valentine's day, which was probably not the best idea, but most restaurants we tried, were already booked. (we did not expect Valentine's day to be so hyped up in Mumbai) When called in advance to make reservation, the restaurant said, they do not take reservation after 8pm. However, as we showed up around around 9pm, we were greeted by asking if we had any reservations. We were also not told informed in advance that due to Valentine's day, the outdoor area only offered prix fixe menu for 10,000 Rs/person. Since we already were there, hungry, and wanted to enjoy the outdoor, opted for the prix fixe menu. To sum it up, food was mediocre, service was good, ambiance was great. Considering the occasion and the overinflated prices, i would probably give another shot at this place, if for nothing else, but a great spot for a drink and some Bollywood star spotting.

My partner and I visited Aurus for our anniversary last week. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing, and we have decided not to return. Despite the restaurant's fantastic location and beautiful views, the service was terrible from the beginning. We had requested a good table in advance for our special occasion, but the maitre d' rudely informed us that we would receive whatever was available. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty. The air conditioning was turned off halfway through our meal, and although we had ordered a congratulatory cake, there was no acknowledgment of our celebration from the staff, even after we cut the cake. Overall, for a supposed fine dining establishment, we were left feeling very let down.

Located directly across from Juhu Beach, this incredible restaurant is a delight! The cuisine is excellent, the wine selection is vast, and the service is top-notch. Be sure to book an outdoor table to take in the beach scenery. I highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation. The ambiance is lovely. While it may be on the pricier side for Mumbai, you definitely get your money's worth.
