Bidrage med feedbackStylish Chinese restaurant surrounded by greenery, creating a tranquil atmosphere. I went to try the Dan Dan noodles but ended up ordering the tasty spare rib noodles, which brought back memories of Osaka. The dish was carefully prepared and the taste was satisfactory. However, although the spare rib noodles were delicious, I found them to be a bit too refined for my taste. I was hoping for a bit more pork bone and pepper in the curry-flavored pork and wild-flavored soup. I also wished there was rice included with the set meal. Overall, it seemed like a restaurant that would appeal to women. The service was also good. Be cautious of the narrow and steep uphill entrance path, especially if you are on a motorcycle. It can be difficult to pass other vehicles coming downhill, so be prepared to stop or maneuver carefully. It's advisable to check the restaurant's closing days beforehand, as they may vary. Refer to the photo for the closing days in May 2022.
In Ukiha, I found a restaurant that served tantanmen and decided to go eat there. The interior had table seating and counter seating, and without hesitation, I chose the counter seat where I could see the view of Ukiha through the window! The view of cherry blossoms, persimmons, and autumn leaves changes with the seasons. The tantanmen had a well-balanced soup with richness and spiciness, and most importantly, the noodles were fantastic. The thin noodles had a firm texture, and every bite was delicious. I am definitely going to come back for this bowl. The mapo tofu was also exquisite, and the Chinese set meal of four dishes was meticulously prepared with no shortcuts, resulting in a delicious taste that even a novice like me could appreciate. I was also moved by the hospitality of the staff, and I enjoyed the lingering feeling on the drive back home.
I was surprised by the steep slope at the entrance, but the restaurant located on the hill has a nice view. The interior of the restaurant is very clean. Since I arrived close to the end of lunchtime, I ordered a set meal (with Ma Po Ramen, mini salad, and rice) due to ingredient shortages. The thin noodles in the ramen were delicious and absorbed the tasty soup well. The soup was elegant and free of any unpleasant flavors. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of noodles. Although I was a bit cautious about the medium spiciness, it was just right and I plan to order something a little more spicy next time. I also tried scooping up just the Ma Po portion with a spoon and eating it with rice. I definitely plan on coming back to try more.
